More About the Role:
The Defense Group of Leidos is seeking Operations Mangers to serve as the Far East Asia site lead for the ONE-Net portion of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy, inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
This position will report to the ONE-Net Operations Director. The individual hired for this role must possess strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to manage a highly technical staff comprised of multiple IT disciplines spread across a geographical area. They must be able to take data from a variety of sources and turn it into actionable information needed for various service level and operational requirements. The candidate will need to exhibit an understanding of IT project management concepts, inclusive of scope, schedule, resource, communication, risk, and stakeholder management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the internal processes related to Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and delivery are applied and used across the enterprise to ensure timely resolution of incidents and drive high availability. This role will leverage processes, utilizing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices, to ensure the IT organization designs, deploys and sustains high quality, highly available solutions that align with business and IT strategic objectives.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Provide technical leadership for onsite staff. Act as chief point of contact for team members and frontline escalation point regarding workplace issues. Responsible for reporting events, informing Leidos leadership of incidents, and advising on potential courses of action.
•Manage administrative duties for team, to include team scheduling, time-off requests, coordinating training, special initiatives, professional development, ensuring compliance with Leidos policies.
•Responsible for incident escalation on behalf of direct reports; pursue and attain issue resolution; coordinate with team leads for interdepartmental requirements.
•Ensure the timely and quality delivery of contract deliverables.
•This role will also ensure that IT has the appropriate level of process definition, rigor, and reporting to deliver the highest level of availability, quality, value, flexibility and visibility to the organization.
•Experience with Project Management (PM) and customer service skills, along with a general understanding of related technologies.
•Must possess Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) version 3 Foundation certification with additional ITILv3 certifications recommended.
•Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects (in IT, or related field of study in the information technology).
•Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for a degree at the hiring managers discretion.
•Five plus (5+) years of experience leading personnel, managing complex technical programs including budgetary responsibility, staffing responsibility, communicating and interfacing with DoD customers.
•Must have US Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance.
•Must have a minimum DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level II (ex. CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, etc.) or higher IAT level certification (ex. CISSP, CASP) within 6 months of hire.
•ITILv3 or ITILv4 Foundations certification.
•Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Additional ITILv3 or ITILv4 Expert.
•Additional experience in system or workstation administration.
•PMP or other project management certification(s).
•Experience with Microsoft VISIO and Microsoft EXCEL.
•Experience working on Department of the Navy Contracts.
•Experience on-boarding Contractor staff across multiple OCONUS locations.
•Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
